Camden player facing expulsion for punch

The future of Camden High School basketball is in jeopardy as they face a ban from future playoff games after a player sucker punched an opponent and broke his nose.

It was a shot never written into either coach’s game plan on Wednesday night.

An aggravated MacArthur Mason, 18, who plays for Camden High, apparently did not make the shots he wanted in the championship game. Instead, as the teams exchanged handshakes, he punched star Deptford High School basketball center Rickie Crews, fracturing his nose.
